Why?
A correctly formatted reference list forms an important part of your assessment as it allows your teacher to see where you research comes from. At Trinity, we use a referencing system called APA 7th.
There are several components to a reference. These may include:
- Author
- Date of publication
- Title
- Source of the information e.g. a URL
These components are organised in a certain way, depending on the type of information you have used in your research. Refer to the examples on the tabs at the top of this guide.
